Born in Naples in 1985 Raph started loving movies at very early age writing his first screen-‐play when he was only nine years old. Even if he never had a camera to shoot the film, the music was always ready, recorded on a tape and borrowed from his favourite movies. At the age of fourteen he started learning guitar as self-‐taught and playing in a local punk band where he started writing his first songs and some years later he formed a rockabilly project where he sang and played guitar. To follow his passions he moved to study Music, Film and Performing Arts at the University of Bologna where he attended several courses and workshops in popular music, ethnomusicology, blues, and history of Cinema becoming completely dipped into Art. At the same time he started an Irish folk quartet (Black Velvet Band) where he played the banjo and sang traditional Irish tuning. In 2005 he moved to Vienna for a while to meet one of his best friend and starting an Indie musical project together called Daylight where he had several years of experiences writing songs. In 2007 he moved to Rome where he completed the studies in Musicology with a thesis in "Virtual orchestra simulation for stage music" and enrolled a composition course in a music academy in the Capital. Here he started his career in composing, writing incidental music for several plays in his native city. Then he shore to the movie working for an independent Film production company in Naples and for several Spanish advertisement and book-‐ trailers. Now he lives in Oslo where he shares his knowledge with private lessons in music for films. Here he works as freelance composer for images and movement, working with different directors and choreographers, having the goal to get to the most important film companies in Norway and Europe.
